Serhat ALADAĞ MSc defended his PhD Thesis entitled “Development of Monodisperse-Mesoporous SiO2 Microspheres as a New Metal Oxide Affinity Chromatography (MOAC) Sorbent for Phospholipid Enrichment in Synovial Joint Fluid” on 24/05/2024 at the Department of Bioengineering. The advisor and co-advisor of the thesis are Feza Korkusuz MD and Ali Tuncel PhD. We are grateful to Prof Dr Ömür ÇELİKBIÇAK, Prof Dr Nuray OKTAR, Prof Dr Mustafa ÇELEBİER, Assoc. Prof Dr Feray BAKAN MISIRLIOĞLU and Assoc. Prof Dr Mehmet Gökhan ÇAĞLAYAN for their participation and suggestions for improvement. Contributions of the jury included synovial joint fluid collection, sample preparation, sorbent characterization and presentation of phospholipidomic data.
The Kick-Off Meeting of the project was virtually carried out under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Feza KORKUSUZ.
Ethics committee approval was received for the project from the ethics committee of Hacettepe University Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee (Approval no and date:2023/09-44 – 19.12.2023, Research no: SBA 23/262).

The “3rd Regenerative Orthopedic Summit” was organized by the Regenerative Medicine Orthopedic Society (RMOS) in Istanbul between 30.11.2023-02.12.2023. Prof Dr Feza KORKUSUZ made a presentation about the omic analysis of synovial fluid.
Preliminary preparation phase results of the project were presented by Prof. Dr. Feza KORKUSUZ at the Cells & Extracellular Templates (CET) – 2nd International Conference in Rome between June 8 and 9, 2023.
